This exhibition represents a spectrum of photographs of the American West. From landscapes to abstractions. From cultural icons of pre-historic times to aerial photography. His work has been in some 200 exhibitions and the subject of feature articles in numerous magazines. Commissions include work for Time-Life, Fortune and Holiday magazines. Weber’s corporate clients include Dupont, Kaiser, International Harvester, Eastman Kodak, Polaroid and Hasselblad. Publisher illustrations include works for Bantam, Doubleday, McGraw Hill and Alfred A Knopf.
After 18 years working with Ansel Adams at his Yosemite workshops, he and his wife, Suzie, founded the Victor School of Creative Arts in Colorado. Weber has also served as a visiting professor or artist in residence at over a dozen universities. Weber’s photographs are in numerous collections including the Art Institute of Chicago, M.H. deYoung Museum, UCLA, Utah Museum of Fine Art, the Ansel Adams Collection, the Santa Barbara Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, Japan.

Al Weber was born in Denver Colorado in 1930. He received an A.A. in photography and a B.A. in Eduction from the University of Denver and served as a Captain in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. After his military service he moved to the Monterey Peninsula and established himself as a commercial photograph. Weber’s career spans six decades. He is internationally recognized for the breadth of his work and contributions as a teacher and mentor. Weber’s images have been shown in over 200 exhibitions. An accomplished commercial photographer, his commissions include work for Time-Life, Fortune and Holiday magazines. Corporate clients include Dupont, Kaiser, International Harvester, Eastman Kodak, Polaroid and Hasselblad. His photographs are in the permanent collections of The Art Institute of Chicago, M. H. de Young Museum, UCLA, Utah Museum of Fine Arts and the Ansel Adams Collection.
