Al Weber joined us from his studio in Carmel, California to discuss lessons learned in six decades as a photographer and teacher.
After almost 20 years teaching with Ansel Adams at his workshops, he founded the Victor School of Creative Arts in Colorado. There, and in numerous programs since, he has shared his insights and perspectives on photography. 200 exhibitions of his photographic artwork, corporate clients from Dupont to Kodak and Hasselblad and major publishers uniquely qualify him to address a wide range of issues.
This program offered a discussion of his perspectives on the art of photography, talking points from images in the current Lumière exhibition …Picturing the West… and provided a lively question and answer session.
